ReviewMyAMS

Is your association considering investing in an AMS package? AMS, short for association management software, is an integrated online solution to manage your membership data base, event registration, committees, website, e-commerce, email blasts, etc.

I have worked with two client associations in selecting and transitioning to an AMS. After reaching “there’s gotta be a better way” consensus, we went through the lengthy process of sending requests for proposal, conference call meetings, vendor demonstrations, more conference calls, checking references, etc. etc.

Today I was excited to read in the Associations Now e-zine about the website, ReviewMyAMS.com. Association professionals are encouraged to post reviews of their AMS systems for their peers to read. This service is free if you post a review. Access is $99 for one year, which I consider a nominal investment to learn about the good, bad and ugly.

Good luck!
