Canva: Design Software for Banners and Other Graphics

Have you ever wanted to take a photo or logo and turn it into a banner or other graphic? Does your association or nonprofit have a limited budget? A few months ago, a colleague recommended using Canva, and I highly recommend this online graphic design software. Best of all, it is free and easy to use!Canva logo

Canva provides a number of design templates so you can easily make, say, Facebook banners. You may choose one of their backgrounds or upload your own. Or, for a small fee, you can access Canva’s library. One of my clients uses Canva to produce our homepage slideshow which features membership, events and our current newsletter. Please see cadm.org.  We also use Canva to design graphics for Facebook and Twitter, and to customize our logo.

You may also use Canva to design presentations, letterhead, blogs, e-books and other marketing materials. Good luck!
