Glenda Berg Sharp, CAE, principal of Sharper Associations, is a Certified Association Executive with more than 35 years of association management experience. She received her B.A. from Purdue University. After a brief teaching stint, she began her long association career with the American Bar Association in Chicago, IL. She served as Law Student Division Assistant Director from 1983-1987, then became Family Law Section Director. She served in that capacity for fourteen years.
Glenda then served as DuPage County Bar Association Executive Director in Wheaton, IL from 2001-2010. West of Cook County (Chicago) and with nearly 1,000,000 residents, DuPage is the second largest county in Illinois.
Glenda earned her Certified Association Executive [CAE] credential in January, 2005. The American Society of Association Executives awards CAE status to those who obtain a minimum number of years of required experience in nonprofit management, complete multiple hours of professional development, pass a stringent examination in association management, and pledge to uphold a code of ethics.
